Prefabricated Modular Wooden Houses
Tropic House Indonesia has developed a tropical building system that addresses all of the elements we’ve mentioned. A system of artisan-crafted components; contractor easy to assemble and a tropical style produced from a tropical hardwood that is 95% termite resistant without chemical poisons.

Based on a 3 meter grid, an unlimited variety of structures can be produced that reflect a true tropical experience. Along with appropriate support materials such as: ironwood shingles; woven bamboo; corrugated metal roof; rattan floor mats and thatch roof, you can now create that tropical experience with a system that reflects your tropical vision, engineered for hurricane conditions, at an affordable price (approximately USD $45.00 USD per square feet for the basic component system).

Tropic House Indonesia‘s tropic structures have an extensive specification that we submit with all our proposals.

WOOD STRUCTURES
All wood components are crafted and supplied as Indonesian tropical hardwood – Bangkirai. Bangkirai is 3 times stronger than Douglas Fir and is naturally termite resistant do no harmful chemicals. Components are bolted and screwed to exceed Hawaii hurricane requirements (100 mph) and all walls and trusses are pre-crafted in our workshop with foil moisture/radiant barrier and 1×4 T&G horizontal siding in place.

CONNECTOR PACKAGE
Our System supplies custom Hot Dipped Galvanized connectors and bolts for all of the prime connection points.

WOODEN DOORS
Doors and jambs are produced also in Bangkirai, to ensure consistent aesthetic and maximum termite restiveness. Offered is a combination of different door configurations supplied with a Bangkirai frame, 6mm laminated glass, stainless steel butt hinges and locksets and a Teflon, stainless steel roller system with aluminum track.

WINDOWS
Windows are crafted similarly to the doors above, utilizing stainless steel hardware, aluminum sliding tracks and operable spring tension awing window hardware with 6mm glass.

HARDWARE COMPONENTS
We have selected a high quality hardware package available in Indonesia and produced in Europe. Rolling Track Systems, Stainless Steel hinges Stainless Euro lever lockset designs, and durable spring hinges for awing windows.

TROPICAL CEILING TREATMENTS
For tropical aesthetics, we supply a woven mat materiel from the stock of a Java palm tree. Produced in 4×8 sheets, the surface has a natural coating that is resistive to bugs and mildew. When used as a ceiling treatment, your contractor will glue it to the underside of the 5/8” plywood roof sheathing.

ROOFING
In keeping with a tropical feeling, we have the option of three different types of roofing material:
• Ironwood Shingles: Hand-split; point butt, durable for 100 years
• Metal Roof: Using a 5-coat process, the roofs are available in a variety of colors. 0.5mm Steel.
• AlangAlang: In areas where the building code allows an authentic tropical roof, we can supply the Balinese thatch roof (alungalung). Applied properly and maintained, this roof can last from 7-10 years.

SKYLIGHTS
Integral to our contemporary tropical system is venting skylights that allow ambient daylight in while venting hot air out. Constructed of extruded anodized aluminum and Polycarb cell plastic lens, our skylights provide an effective light transmitive detail.

CABINETS
Cabinets are produced of solid tropical hardwood in several species besides Bangkirai. Hardware is Euro Style and all is produced to our quality western standards.

COUNTERTOPS
Countertop and splash material is supplied in granite only. With several color ranges available, we feel granite is the perfect compliment to Bangkirai cabinets. Granite Slab Countertops 1″ thick counter slabs and splash material with either polished bullnose or square leading edges.

FLOORING
Material options for flooring:
• Bangkirai 1×4 T&G flooring: is supplied with our components as the standard. While functioning as the structural base of the system as well, when finished to a flooring quality, its’ color projects a consistent solution to the floor.
• Indonesian Porcelain Tile: A surfaced applied 40x40cm textured or smooth tile for kitchens and baths. Various colors are available.
• Indonesian Marble: A classic palate of natural marble tiles are available in field and border sizes.
