Great Book and Great Projects! -
This book is an excellent guide for beginners or anyone who already has printmaking experience - there's very helpful charts that guide you through ink / paint mixing for different media, as well as images of what each type looks like when printed.
Inspirational for someone looking for hints and new project ideas, and very detailed for someone who wants to just follow the projects in the book (it even comes with the designs all in a back pocket).
I also really like that most new craft / art guides are being made in the lay-flat and easy to read format of spiral bound encased in a hardback! This is a great size for reference, and it lays flat so you can leave it on the table while you're working!

Great project ideas -
This book is full of great ideas for projects. I made the mistake of reading it while in the car during a trip. I was itching to get started the moment I started to read, and by the time we got home I nearly set up shop the moment we got in the door.

What more could you want? A perfect book. -
I was moderately interested in this book and had it on my wish list. Somebody gave it to me for my birthday. I have to give it a great review because it is the perfect blend of simple yet informative, inspirational yet encouraging. I really got the feeling I could do these things myself. It covers the bases in an energetic way. I felt it was fresh from cover to cover. Maybe if you were already experienced with printing your own fabrics or making your own stamps, this might be too beginner for you. It's great when a book makes something that you were previously intimidated to try, like making my own stamps, into something very do-able. And still, beyond that, make it seem possible to think of my own ideas. Sometimes a craft book is so specific that it's hard to bust out your own ideas after making the specific projects. This book seems a good foundation for endless individual creativity. I'll keep it a long time as a reference and as an inspiration.

Lena goes above and beyond the basics of just creating your own prints. She also discusses other details such as sewing or constructing a chair cushion or a dog bed. You can either print on items pre-made or follow her simple instructions to make the entire project from start to finish. This is fabulous for any creative type person!

Helpful even if you are an experienced printmaker -
Like others, I found the book inspiring. Perhaps more importantly I learned new tricks and techniques that are relevant to someone working at home (me!) rather than in a fully equipped print studio like the one I had become accustomed to in art school. I thought printmaking was something I could only do if I had access to a press, fancy screen printing facilities, a wash out room, etc. This book showed me that the barriers are only in my head.
The instructions are very thorough and clear, unlike many books that don't actually tell you how to make the cool thing in the picture. It is well worth buying (unlike many craft books that I check out from the library) and I will keep it as a reference for years to come.
