500 Cottages underwhelming -
Of all the recent books on cottages available, this is the worst purchase we have made. The graphics are poor. Very few selected homes are inspiring. The homes tend to be geographically concentrated, which is unfortunate considering the span of cottages across the nation to choose from.

Pottery-bali Indonesia exports decorative terra cotta pottery, handmade clay flower pots, large decorative vases, fine terrazzo pots, and cast stone planters. These home and garden potteries are available in traditional and contemporary design. All these home decor accents and garden crafts items are for wholesale only, at container size.
Some beautiful ideas for architecture -
There are some truly beautiful houses in this book, but the chief drawback is that the pictures are very small and many are of a grainy, low resolution which makes for... bad photography. The ideas are nonetheless there, but it can be hard to see them at times.

Absolutely a ripoff. 500 pictures of fronts of houses. I doubt if the author has one photo release on one picture. Drive down a city street with old houses and get your own pictures. No plans, no interiors, just drivebys.
500 Cottages -
Very interesting. Enjoyed looking at all the cottages featured in the book. Mostly in California though.

Not So Great -
This is a wordless picture book for adults that show images of cottages and Victorian homes. The pictures are nice, although some look particularly dated/old. The only item listed next to the picture of each home is the location - no date of construction or architect or anything else. The drawback of this book is also the limited scope - every other picture is from Chico, CA or the San Francisco Bay Area; there is a very small spattering of homes from other places. The photographer really limited himself to the West Coast, so the book is definitely lacking in that respect. The book is very small and compact, and I'd recommend browsing it at the library and not purchasing it.
