Good, but not Perfect - 
I am several months into building the salt box potting shed in this book (don't kid yourself, this takes time and help... and I don't have much of either). I also purchased the shed plans, which I would definitely recommend. I am more experienced than the average Joe with carpentry, but I'm no Bob Vila, that's for sure. The bottom line on this book is that the sheds are quite nice, the instructions and tips and photos are very helpful, but there are the occasional sections that lack clarity or have omitted key details... which becomes painfully obvious in the middle of construction. I find myself having to read between the lines and pour over the photos in utmost detail looking for clues.
So, if you're experienced and looking for some good shed design ideas and helpful pointers on construction - by all means, this is the book. If you're less experienced, I'd still recommend this book (along with as many others as you can get your hands on at the library), but you may want to make friends with the local carpenter for some occasional help.
For those considering the shed plans noted in the book, a bit of fair warning. The plan I received did not match, exactly, the discussion as presented in the book (more confusion). Worse, some of the dimensions in the plan were clearly in error. I'm not a professional builder, but geometry I can do, and their numbers didn't add up. Fortunately I was careful to double and triple check every measurement and I found the problem before cutting (and wasting) any lumber. Even so, the plans are a huge help, are nicely printed, and are definitely recommended.

Learn from a carpenter who can teach -
There are two reasons to build your own shed; to save money and to enjoy the process of building your own. This book is a nicely illustrated manual for constructing sheds from the ground up. Study it and you will be learn how to build a shed you'll be proud of. The finished product will be be better than the home center sheds, and for less cost.
It is not a book of plans. You will have to get your plans elsewhere. I actually learned enough from the book to draw my own plans (a time consuming task).
If you intend to read several books, I suggest getting this one first. I looked through several books available at a local half-priced book store and purchased one. After reading it I still lacked the confidence to build my shed. Too bad this one wasn't in the shelves, I guess people buy this one and keep it.
Exactly What I Wanted -
Thanks to everyone who reviewed this before me. I bought it based on its fantastic reviews, and it did not let down. I was much better able to put together a quote package for a local lumberyard on the shed I want because of the book (and a good friend's help as well). I will look to this series of books next time I have a project!
Underplays underlayment -
I will not duplicate points made in other reviews.
Just note that the roofing (cedar shakes, and asphalt shingles) is shown without using underlayment/felt. False economy, or to clarify photos? Shingle mnfrs demand it, and it serves several useful purposes. Why would the author repeatedly stress pressure-treated lumber on the moist bottom of sheds, and yet short-change the moist TOP?!

This a great book about building stuff. I used it modify an 80 year old chicken coop into a guest house. I learned new construction techniques (pre-made ceiling trusses) and many new words. This book had everything I needed to know to construct an outbuilding from start to finish efficiently and thoroughly. I had it by my side for the whole project. Even though it's stained and dog-eared so you won't find my used copy for sale here or anywhere else.
