Cute tops - 
This book is great! I attempted a couple of the shirts and they turned out perfect. The projects are short and look great once completed. Perfect for the unskilled seamstress with a few more difficult shirts to make if you are looking for a "challenge". I haven't really tried the more difficult projects yet, as I seem to be lacking T-shirts. One of the shirts required interfacing but the rest just use T-shirts.
I am looking forward to trying a few more of the Sistahs Of Harlem's projects. Overall great purchase.

I have several DIY T-shirt re-vamp books and this one is THE BEST one so far! The "Sistahs" write like positive friends who are in the know about fashion, the designs are great fun and easy to follow & the photos are excellent for illustrating the finished product.
Bonuses: great tips on choosing lines, colors and styles for every body type, good range of patterns for the novice to the experienced sewer and the hard-cover is sure to last. BUY IT NOW. REALLY!

This is the best DIY t-shirt book I've read. The refashioned clothes are real, wearable clothing. They don't look like that t-shirt you hacked up in high school, which is cool on a 15-year-old, but not so great if you want something more grownup and/or stylish. It gets you thinking on a track of making tees feminine and sexy!

I purchased this book because of my DIY obsession. I was impressed by how informative the book is. Not only does the book give step by step instructions on how to achieve the designs but also talks about what fits best on body shapes, what colors work well with skin complexions, accessories, and more. I also own Generation T which is far less complicated and more beginner friendly. T-Shirt Makeovers is a great book and extremely informative but not for beginners. My knowledge of sewing and garment construction helped me to understand the guidelines to follow and the fact that I own a sewing machine helps as well, but for those who are new to the sewing and DIY world can get frustrated and confused. I recommend this book for the experienced and for those who are not, I recommend Generation T first. Overall the book was enjoyable and the designs impeccable.
